The Evanston Bishops got a stellar performance from pitcher Kyle Ott, who handcuffed the DeKalb offense en route to a win, 10-1, at FUBU Field. Evanston, at 58-41, holds down second place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

The Cornhuskers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Bishops going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old catcher Eugene Holden came to the plate. Holden hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from DeKalb hurler Gene Aikman. It was Holden's 6th home run of the year.

DeKalb manager Trey Burrell called the blowout loss "not what we wanted."
