The Madison Beehive and Beaumont Drillers completed their game despite the rain.
The Beaumont Drillers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Earl Hickman into a win. Instead, the Madison Beehive prevailed, 4-2. Hickman threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The win went to Carlos Serrato in relief, making him now 6-3. Joe McNeill took the loss for Beaumont.
John Schneider had a direct impact on the outcome. Schneider contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Madison up, 2-0.
Madison manager Leon Morris was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
Madison's record now stands at 37-48, placing them 5th in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.
