Danny Giberson never let Kelowna get something going. The Fraser Valley right-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Black Bears to a 1-0 win. Fraser Valley reliever A.J. Galloway picked up the win to move to 6-3. Tom Ray suffered the loss. Alex Marquez finished to wrap up his 12th save.
Bob Segoviano contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send Fraser Valley to the win.
"Danny is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Fraser Valley manager Jesús Morán.
The 5th-place Black Bears raised their record to 51-47.
