Spartans Rally to Win
Spokane first baseman C.J. Sharp was sensational. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a triple. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Sandy Springs beat the Bulldogs, 4-3, in 12 innings. The winner was Sandy Springs reliever Tony Sanchez, now 2-1. The loser was Ernie Nielsen. Sandy Springs is now 49-34.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dimas Camarinho in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Ernie Nielsen to win the game for Sandy Springs. The home crowd went nuts.

Camarinho said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
