Blazers Earn 4-3 Win Against Pioneers
The Bloomington Blazers racked up a win at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, bumping off the Vancouver Pioneers, 4-3, in 11 innings. Humberto Diaz, who started for Bloomington, pitched effectively for his team. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Erik McKnight in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Cameron Calder took the loss. The triumph puts Bloomington at 18-18 for the season.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Lateef Zitouna? The two-time All-Star Zitouna stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Bloomington up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Humberto was aggressive right out of the chute," said Bloomington manager Leo Dethwright.
