Though he had a great game, Ernie Byrd could not single-handedly produce a win for Evanston. Wauwatosa won the game, 4-2. Byrd went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dylan Kipling was the winner. He's now 5-8. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Johnson. The 5th-place Indians lifted their record to 48-47.
In the top of the ninth, Chris Hendricks stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Bishops were trailing 4-2, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Ryan Keough made a terrific pitch and Hendricks grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Evanston comeback.
