The Frisco Rams outlasted the Boise Hawks, 11-8, in 12 innings. Frisco second baseman Dan Collins stood out with his performance. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The 5th-place Rams are now 41-40, the Hawks 40-41.

Frisco used a timely hit from Bill Powers to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rams ahead, 10-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Rams manager Joe Renken.
