Behind a fine performance from Sung-oo Chung, the Evanston Bishops knocked off the Rock River Rats in 14 innings, 8-7. Chung was 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Bishops. Evanston pitcher Travis Wilson earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Chuck Green suffered the loss. The third-place Bishops go to 54-39.

Isaac Parker drove in one run for Evanston. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 14th. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Chuck Green. It was his 13th RBI of the season.

"We had the eye of a tiger tonight," said winning manager Harold Planter.
