Danny Arias, who is tied for 7th in the RAA in quality starts with 10, was locked in. The right-hander led the Boston Whitecaps to a 6-3 win against the Marysville Monarchs at The Studio. Arias, now 5-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 5, and allowing 3 runs. Chris Sarne closed the door for Boston, picking up his 17th save of the year.
Forrest Suggs aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk.
"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Suggs after the game.
The triumph puts Boston at 55-38 for the season.
