Storm Troopers Edge Beehive, 5-4
|
San Antonio shortstop Nathaniel King made his presence felt in the 5-4 Storm Troopers triumph over the Madison Beehive. King was 1-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Tony Salvador picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Connor Moody was tagged with the loss. The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 49-46 with this latest triumph.
King had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 12th. On a 1-0 sinker from Connor Moody, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Storm Troopers a 5-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for King.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Yen-nien Zhou, the San Antonio manager.
