The Wichita Wolverines beat the Carson City Mustang, 12-8, at Cowboys Stadium. Wichita right fielder Tom Adams earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Wichita starter Elias Romero was credited with the win after throwing 125 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-6. The 5th-place Wolverines now have a 5-game winning streak.
