Steelheads Absorb 4-1 Home Loss
|
Chet Black was terrific for the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Roaring River Steelheads. His performance earned Black rave reviews. Black, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Ryan Woller earned the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 1st of the year.
William Bowman, who is tied for 3rd in the RAA with a .347 batting average, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bowman contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Buzzard's Bay up, 3-1.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Black.
Buzzard's Bay has now won 6 straight, while the Steelheads have lost 3 in a row.
