Rice Propels Carson City Offense in 10-3 Rout
The 4-RBI night of left fielder Matthew Rice helped the Carson City Mustang triumph, 10-3, over the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters. Jermão Corvite went 8.2 innings for Carson City to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 3 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 8. His record improves to 8-5. With the victory, the Mustang upped their record to 52-40.

Dylan Fleming had a big bases-clearing double for the Mustang in the bottom of the third inning. With Carson City leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Carl Reusch and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mustang ahead, 4-0.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Rice told the Carson City Daily.
