Win Makes DeKalb 48-44
|
Gray Altman made an impact in the 7-4 DeKalb win over Spokane. Altman was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Carlos Nunez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits over 3 innings. He's now 2-3 on the season. Sergio Hernandez locked down his 1st save.
It could have been a different outcome for DeKalb, had it not been for Jeremy Cunningham, the 24-year old center fielder . Cunningham contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put DeKalb up, 2-0.
"We want to make a habit of winning," Cunningham said after the game.
The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 48-44 with this latest triumph.
