Crocodiles Sneak Past Hawks, 3-2
|
Boise pitcher Rick Keen gave the Crocodiles all they could handle, but in the end, Louisiana left Basque Block Field with a 3-2 win. Keen allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 8 innings. Andrew Benton earned his 20th save in 21 chances. The Crocodiles move to 50-41 with the win, while the Hawks drop to 41-51.
The Crocodiles got a lift from second baseman Mitch Erbe, who in the top of the ninth hit a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Crocodiles on top, 3-2.
"We'll savor this win," Erbe told the Louisiana Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
