The Beaumont Drillers defeated the Murraysville Peacocks, 4-3. Third Baseman Stan Spencer deserved a large share of the credit. Spencer went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Drillers. Beaumont is now 41-52, Murraysville 30-62.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Beaumont first baseman Luis Reyes, facing Jared Haney, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Drillers the 4-3 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Spencer said.
