The Bighorn Bison earned a close win over the Manhattan Slice, thanks in part to David Franco. The Bighorn right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The 6th-place Bison have a record of 16-21.

Had Chris Crofts not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Crofts hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bison.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza.
