Storm Troopers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers defeated the Madison Beehive, 4-0, in TMLAA action at The Clone Army, with San Antonio pitcher Jim Shaffner named player of the game. Jeremy Anis, credited with the save, is now 15 for 16 in save opportunities. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Storm Troopers.
The Storm Troopers got an important contribution from first baseman John Henderson, who in the bottom of the seventh hit a 3-1 fastball into left for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Storm Troopers ahead, 2-0.
"I had a good game," said Henderson. "Winning makes it even better."
