Earthquakes Slap 6-4 Loss on Jacksonville
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes knocked off the Jacksonville Pilots, 6-4, in Thurman Munson League action at Golden Gate Park. San Francisco pitcher and Clayton, Alabama, native Jeff Agin had an outstanding performance. Agin yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-1. Dakson Rocket, who finished 3rd in the RCL in saves with 35 in 2059, earned the save for San Francisco.
The Earthquakes got a big at-bat from shortstop Mark Crouse. For the game, Crouse went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
San Francisco manager Zayar Adelabu praised his team's "energy."
San Francisco bumps their record to 17-23 with the win.
