Behind the bravura of second baseman Jeff Holmes, the Buffalo Bison topped the Vancouver Pioneers by the score of 8-5. Holmes went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Bison. The third-place Bison now sit at 21-19.

With Buffalo leading 4-3 in the top of the eighth, Holmes hit a fastball from Clay Clermont for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Bison ahead, 7-3.

"It was a solid team effort," said Holmes after the game.
