Bulldogs Sting Bishops, 4-0
|
Spokane Bulldogs starter Jop Hokke was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Evanston Bishops, 4-0. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 30-46.
The Bulldogs got a big at-bat from first baseman George Keller. For the game, Keller was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Spokane a 1-0 lead.
"Jop's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Spokane manager Mark Alcock.
