Late Rally by Wolverines Secures Win
The Wichita Wolverines bested the Cincinnati Snaps by a score of 7-6, with center fielder Will Easterling getting the main credit. On the day, Easterling was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs for the Wolverines. Mike Price notched his 13th save in 14 chances. Their 33-57 record puts the Wolverines 5th in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division.

Will Easterling's at-bat in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Wolverines trailing 6-5, the 23-year old center fielder stroked a 2-run double.

Wolverines manager Pat Newburn wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
