The Riverside Red Bulls got a sterling performance from first baseman Doug Meilleur, but the Rockets still prevailed, 6-4. Meilleur was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs. Tom Ray got the win, improving to 5-7. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Noah Speech was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 12 save opportunities.

Kelowna left fielder Joey Eaton said he wanted to hit the ball hard when he batted in the top of the seventh. He not only hit it hard, he hit a sinker from Alastair Martin deep for a grand slam home run. It resulted in a 6-3 lead for Kelowna.

"I like our moxie," said Rockets manager Adam Haddox.

The third-place Rockets improved to 48-39.
