Chastain Dazzles in Silicon Valley Win
The Silicon Valley Hackers picked up a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Boise Hawks, 7-0. Starting pitcher Erik Chastain, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The current losing streak for Boise has reached 5 games.

Chastain tossed 134 pitches over 8.1 innings to clinch the win for the Hackers. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 12 strikeouts in the game.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Chastain told the Silicon Valley Times.
