Victors Again, Windsor Win Streak at 10
|
The Windsor Royals and Madison Beehive completed their game despite the rain.
Due in large part to first baseman Gerald Lambruschini, the Windsor Royals sunk the Madison Beehive, 8-5. Lambruschini was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Andy Portorreal came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.
With Windsor trailing 4-2 in the top of the fourth, Lambruschini hit a slider from Enrique Cuellar for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Royals ahead, 6-4.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Luis Hernández.
The 57-29 Royals have won 10 games in a row.
