The Boise Hawks and Boston Whitecaps delighted fans at The Studio.
The Boston Whitecaps got a stellar performance from pitcher Josh Wucherer, who handcuffed the Boise offense en route to a win, 3-2, at The Studio. The save was credited to Franklin Sprague, his 25th.
The Whitecaps got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Jesus Pelayo. For the game, Pelayo was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Boston a 3-2 lead.
"Tip of the cap to the Whitecaps," said Boise manager . "They played a good game."
The current losing streak for Boise has reached 4 games.
