Montreal Mounties pitcher Evan Tedford was in top form, leading his team past the Maple Marauders, 7-1. The Mounties now have a record of 16-20 with the win over Maple.

Jim Crumm had a big 2-run home run for the Mounties in the bottom of the first inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a forkball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher George Soucy Jr. and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Mounties on top, 3-0.

"When Evan's on, he's on," said Montreal manager Julián Martínez.
