Starting pitcher David Baxley fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners stymie the Havana Stogies, 2-0. The save was credited to Bryan Young, his 12th. Eagle Rock now sits at 25-16, while Havana falls to 18-22.

Had Javier Lopez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Lopez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Ridge Runners.

"Makes our job easier," said Lopez, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
