The Murraysville Peacocks got a strong performance from pitcher Alex McCarter, who stymied the DeKalb offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Red Bull Stadium. Jared Haney closed the game out for Murraysville, earning his 12th save. With the win, the Peacocks are 28-56.

In the bottom of the second, Dan Cushing delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Murraysville catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Peacocks in front, 1-0.

"You don't always need a lot of runs to win," said Cushing. "Sometimes you need just one or two."
