Mustang Need Extra Frames to Get Past Spartans
The Carson City Mustang overcame a big game from Sandy Springs right fielder Ashton Clow to pick up a win at Cowboys Stadium. The final score was 9-8, Carson City, in 12 innings. Clow was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The second-place Mustang go to 42-29.

The decisive blow was delivered by Pete May in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Tony Sanchez to win the game for Carson City. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was rocking at the end," May said.
