Late Rally by Spartans Secures Win
|
The rain at The Coliseum did not keep Sandy Springs and Silicon Valley from finishing their game.
The Spartans grabbed a win, 6-2, at The Coliseum, overcoming a fine effort from Silicon Valley pitcher Marco Reyes. Reyes went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. With the win, Sandy Springs goes to 44-35, while the Hackers fall to 41-41.
Sandy Springs took a 4-2 lead on Ben Mills's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Silicon Valley pitcher Britt Diaz in the bottom of the eighth.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Mills.
