Tight Tilt Goes to Drillers, 4-3
|
Beaumont right-hander Frank Frisby pitched his team to victory over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at Drillers Stadium. The final score was 4-3. In 6.1 innings, Frisby surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs. The save went to Joe McNeill, his 4th this season.
The Drillers got a big at-bat from catcher Chris Hart. For the game, Hart was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Beaumont a 2-1 lead.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Drillers manager Takuzo Kaneshiro.
The second-place Beetlecats dropped to 39-30.
