Victory Takes Mountaineers to 38-31
The Black Mountain Mountaineers knocked off the Frisco Rams, 5-3, in RCL AA action at Peak Park. Black Mountain pitcher and Portland, Oregon, native Danny Braun had an outstanding performance. Black Mountain pitcher Tim Sellers earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Dan Thompson suffered the loss. Matt Grunza closed out the game, earning his 9th save.

The Mountaineers got a big at-bat from shortstop Tim Laporte. For the game, Laporte went 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Black Mountain a 4-3 lead.

Black Mountain manager Mario Encarnación called it "a good, solid win."

Black Mountain has a record of 38-31, placing them 4th in the RCL AA Gene Mauch Division.
