The Murraysville Peacocks weathered a fine game by Fraser Valley right fielder Jason Kidwell to upend the Black Bears, 9-7, at The Stetson Bowl. Kidwell went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Alex McCarter earned the win. Wayne Balaski, who leads the TAA with a 8.6 K/9 rate, took the loss for Fraser Valley. The win cannot erase the fact that Murraysville still has a disappointing 26-54 record.

Murraysville used a clutch at-bat from Manny Cruz to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Peacocks ahead, 7-5. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Cruz.
