|
Boise and Frisco put this game in the books despite some rain.
Boise designated hitter Jose Bernal helped his team beat the Frisco Rams, 8-5. Bernal went 2 for 3 for the Hawks. Tatsuhi Naki notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. Jim Kellar picked up his 3rd save of the season.
Had Josh Polkowski not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Polkowski hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Hawks.
"It feels good to get this one," Polkowski told the Boise Citizen.
Boise, with the win, sits at 17-50.
