Marauders Fall Short, 3-2, at Bloomington
|
Kyle Thomas pitched well, but the Maple Marauders still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Bloomington Blazers at Arson Arena. Eric Jerome picked up the win in relief. Kyle Thomas took the loss for Maple. The save was credited to Sergio Apodaca, his 1st.
Bloomington took a 3-1 lead on Jaden White's 12th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which White hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Maple pitcher Andy Baer visibly frustrated.
White said his team "played with a purpose."
The Blazers go to 24-18, putting them first in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
