Cornhuskers Topple Drillers with Late Rally
Clifton Eggert powered the DeKalb Cornhuskers to a win over the Beaumont Drillers. The final score was 10-4. The DeKalb second baseman, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2063 draft, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The win was credited to Ciro Della Volpe in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Alfonso Sorto took the loss. DeKalb occupies 4th place in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division at 41-37.

Eggert broke a deadlock in the top of the eighth inning, when he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run, putting DeKalb up, 4-3.
