Salazar, Drillers Ring Up 8-0 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 26-year old center fielder Manuel Salazar, the Beaumont Drillers stopped the Wauwatosa Indians, 8-0. The win for the Drillers raised their record to 43-34.

Early in the game, Salazar had a 2-run home run for Beaumont. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Drillers on top, 2-0.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Salazar told the Beaumont Gazette, "and we played pretty well tonight."
