Ballard Clubs 2 Home Runs in 5-3 Fraser Valley Win
Fraser Valley and Kelowna duked it out and the Black Bears came out victorious.

Behind the hitting of Chris Ballard, the Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Kelowna Rockets, 5-3. Ballard went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Black Bears. Tommy Spezia closed out the game, earning his 12th save.

Ballard had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch curveball from Brad Karel, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Black Bears a 3-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Ballard.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Ballard told the Fraser Valley Chronicle. "But we take nothing for granted."

Fraser Valley, at 52-23, is cruising.
