Frisco and Beaumont put this game in the books despite some rain.
The 3-hit performance of Eric Woolsey helped the Frisco Rams beat the Beaumont Drillers, 5-2. Brendan Loos earned the win. Earl Hickman took the loss for Beaumont. Nick Loyd saved it for Frisco.
Frisco used a clutch at-bat from Danny Gomez to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rams ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Woolsey attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
