Drillers Earn 3-1 Home Win
|
Conditions were not ideal but Beaumont and Sandy Springs were able to put their game in the books.
Lance Kaeser pitched well, but the Sandy Springs Spartans still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Beaumont Drillers at Drillers Stadium. The winner was Beaumont reliever Mario Garay, now 2-1. The loser was Lance Kaeser.
Beaumont left fielder Alan Kendrick helped the Drillers go up, 3-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Kendrick hit a 2-run single off Sandy Springs pitcher Lance Kaeser.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Beaumont skipper Takuzo Kaneshiro.
At 41-33, the Drillers claim second place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.
