Boston turned a good effort from starter Nate Murray into a win over the Evanston Bishops at FUBU Field. The Whitecaps won the game, 4-2. Nick Merritt earned the save for Boston, his 14th of the year. Boston is now 38-23, 3½ games up in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

Boston used the hitting of Kenny Cox to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Whitecaps on top, 1-0. For the game, Cox had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Murray attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
