The Silicon Valley Hackers took Sandy Springs pitcher Patrick Perillo's best shot and still were able to claim a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The final score had Silicon Valley getting past the Spartans, 3-2. Perillo went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 8. The defeat makes Sandy Springs 39-33.

Silicon Valley took a 3-2 lead on Peter Johnston's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Johnston hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sandy Springs pitcher Steve Roth visibly frustrated.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Sandy Springs manager Rafael Alonso, "let me know."
