Ramey Stars for Spartans in 7-5 Win
The Sandy Springs Spartans topped the Windsor Royals, 7-5, with third baseman Andy Ramey playing a big role. Ramey was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Spartans in the win. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Lonny MacLeod in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Bill Stevenson took the loss. Picking up the save was fireballing 6' 10" left-hander Allen Justice.

Sandy Springs used a well-timed hit by Maxence Amico to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Spartans ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"I still think this team can play even better," Amico told the Sandy Springs Chronicle.
