Carson City Dismisses Clearwater, 6-3
|
Due in large part to shortstop Benni Wollf, the Carson City Mustang sunk the Clearwater Seagulls, 6-3. Wollf went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Joe Gleason zipped up his 13th save. The Mustang now own a record of 34-27.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pete May? The Carson City second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mustang on top, 4-2. For the game, May had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Wollf said his team "executed a good game plan."
