Beaumont Sends Boise Packing with 6-4 Loss
Beaumont parlayed a decent outing from starter Mike Downey into a solid win over the Boise Hawks. The final score was 6-4. Downey, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The triumph makes Beaumont 19-42.

Beaumont took a 5-2 lead on Hector Bautista's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Bautista hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Boise pitcher Carlos Munoz visibly frustrated.

Beaumont manager Takuzo Kaneshiro said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
