Shamrocks Get Dramatic 3-2 Win
|
The Marysville Monarchs were defeated, 3-2, by the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field, even though Dan Danner pitched well for Marysville. Pacifica reliever Manuel Cardenas picked up the win to move to 2-3. Dan Danner suffered the loss. The Shamrocks go to 23-39 with the win.
Pacifica got a clutch hit from Andrew Read. The shortstop launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
Read said his team "executed a good game plan."
