Spartans Need Extra Frames to Get Past Marauders
|
Bradenton catcher Jeff Feldman had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Feldman was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times, even as Sandy Springs beat the Marauders, 9-8. Feldman was named the player of the game despite the loss. Bradenton's current losing streak is now 10 games.
Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Cole Holliday, hit a single. It helped Sandy Springs seize the win.
"We'll savor this win," Holliday told the Sandy Springs Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
