The Rock River Rats earned a win at The Rat Hole, stopping the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 6-0. Starting pitcher Jerry Fey played a big role in his team's success. The Rats improved their record to 29-32 by beating DeKalb.

Kevin Gregory had a big 2-run double for the Rats in the bottom of the first inning. With Rock River leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a knuckleball from Edgar Peraza and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rats ahead, 3-0.

"I had everything working," said Fey.
