Murraysville got a terrific game from first baseman Yiliyen Mtima. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Evanston, 9-8. Mtima went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Harry Fox notched his 9th save in 12 chances. Evanston is now 38-30, Murraysville 21-49.

Ray Harder delivered a big hit for Evanston. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bishops ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Harder.
