Jay Slugs Storm Troopers to 11-9 Win
With third baseman Elijah Jay leading the charge, the San Antonio Storm Troopers defeated the Spokane Bulldogs, 11-9, at The Clone Army. Jay, who is tied for 4th in the TAA in runs scored with 53, was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. San Antonio reliever Dave Sheldon was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Nelson Ramirez took the loss. Jeremy Anis, credited with the save, is now 11 for 11 in save opportunities.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out and the bases loaded, the batter, Elijah Jay, hit a grand slam. It helped San Antonio seize the win.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Jay.

With the win over Spokane, the Storm Troopers improved to 37-33.
