Great Day for Sobiech in Spartans Win
|
The Sandy Springs Spartans defeated the Cincinnati Snaps, 5-2, at The Coliseum today. Leading the charge for Sandy Springs was right fielder Pat Sobiech. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Guillermo Castorena, who threw 102 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 6 hits. Omar Cruz earned the save for Sandy Springs, his 6th.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Spartans had to cash in when they had the chance.
